Roy O. West Baby Care Room

Roy O. West Library has a dedicated, private room for nursing/pumping parents. The room includes a chair, table, outlets, trashcans, paper towels, and a sink. Please do not change diapers in the Baby Care Room, there are changing stations in the bathrooms on each floor in Roy for diapering care.

The Baby Care Room is located on the Ground Floor of Roy O. West Library, inside the Staff Lounge. Any member of the DePauw community and visitors to DePauw’s campus are welcome to use the Baby Care Room to nurse and/or pump. In order to get access to the room, contact Jean Everage (jeverage@depauw.edu) or x4688 (765-658-4688).

When using the room, please lock the door to let others know it is in use. The lights can be dimmed to your preference using the light panel to the right of the door when you walk in. If needed, there is also a shared refrigerator in the staff lounge available.

For questions, please feel free to contact Jean Everage or library@depauw.edu, or for immediate assistance during business hours (M-F 8-5) visit TheDesk on the first floor and ask for Kayla Birt Flegal or Jean.

As of September 2023, there is a Spectra S2 double pump and sanitized, spare parts (it is a closed-system pump) available should any nursing/pumping parent need. Please use the sanitizing spray and soap on any parts of the pump that are used.
